There’s never a dull moment here! I answer the phone, help customers face-to-face, deal with invoice queries and check all the tools and plant. I find it really rewarding, especially when we get good feedback from customers. Some of them even write in and say thanks! There’s a lot of customer contact in this role, so we really get to know people. It’s always nice to see familiar faces.

One of the best things about A-Plant is the progression; they have lots opportunities for you to move on and up. This morning I got an email telling me that I could work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Hire and Rental Operation. It’s quite interesting - I’m thinking of doing it. I don’t know what the future holds yet, but I may move into sales or even try and work my way up to Senior Rental Manager.

I’d recommend A-Plant as a place to work, particularly if you’re working in an office and want a change in direction. Being able to deal with the public face-to-face every day is brilliant. I also enjoy working with such lovely people. Plus, you’re never bored as we get a lot of business!
